Influenza / SARS-CoV-2 Multiplex, RT-PCR (CDC assay)

The Influenza SARS-CoV-2 (Flu SC2) Multiplex Assay is for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus, and/or influenza B virus nucleic acid in upper or lower respiratory specimens.

Reject Criteria
  • Inadequately labeled specimens
  • Leaking specimens
  • QNS (quantities not sufficient)
  • Cotton or calcium alginate swabs
  • Swabs in Amies medium
  • Swabs with wooden shafts
  • Specimens not meeting the Storage & Transport criteria upon receipt at laboratory
