What is the California Public Records Act (CPRA)?
The California Public Records Act (CPRA) was passed by the California Legislature in 1968 for government agencies and requires that government records be disclosed to the public, upon request, unless there is a legal basis for withholding such documents.

How to Submit a CPRA Request
NextRequest CPRA Portal Now Live
The Sonoma County NextRequest CPRA platform is now live for the following departments:
Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector (ACTTC), Information Systems, Permit Sonoma, Sonoma Water Agency, Emergency Management, Child Support Services and Office of Equity. More departments will be added in the coming months.
For all other department requests use the Department Contact List below to email the department that maintains the records you need.
