Delta Air Lines to begin service at Sonoma County airport this fall with nonstop flights to Salt Lake City
SANTA ROSA, CA | May 22, 2026
Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS) announced today that Delta Air Lines will begin new nonstop service between Sonoma County and Salt Lake City International Airport on Oct. 6, expanding air travel options for residents, businesses and visitors throughout the North Bay.
Delta will initially offer two daily flights between Sonoma County and Salt Lake City through its Delta Connection partner, SkyWest Airlines, using Embraer E175 aircraft. The new route will provide travelers with expanded access to destinations across the United States and around the world through Delta’s hub in Salt Lake City.
“Delta’s arrival at STS is yet another milestone in the prominence of the airport and reflects the continued demand for commercial air service in Sonoma County,” Airport Manager Jon Stout said. “This new service will provide our community with additional travel options while strengthening connections from Sonoma County.”
Delta will initially operate two daytime round trips between Sonoma County and Salt Lake City, one of the airline’s major western hubs with connections to destinations across North America and abroad. Delta’s arrival in Sonoma County will support tourism, business travel and economic activity throughout the North Bay.

Flight schedules and ticket availability will be available through Delta Air Lines and travel booking platforms beginning this weekend.
Delta’s entry into the Sonoma County market marks the latest improvement of service at STS, which is also served by Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. The airport recorded its busiest year on record in 2025, reflecting sustained demand for airline service in Sonoma County.
