Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program

Driving

The Driving Under the Influence Program works with the Court to provide services to first time and multiple offenders, with an office located in Santa Rosa.

Currently, the DUI Program offers orientation, education, group, and individual counseling in person and telehealth services through the Zoom platform. If opting for live virtual services, you must have a device with audio and video capabilities.

Total program enrollment requires completing a 3-step process:

  1. Attend Orientation
  2. Complete an in-person intake appointment.
  3. Down Payment due at the in-person intake appointment

Intake appointments, schedule changes, re-enrollments, transfer-in, program change, and return from a leave of absence are in person and by appointment only.

Step 1: Attend Orientation

To enroll in the Driving Under the Influence (DUI) program you must first attend an orientation meeting.

What You Must Provide to Attend Orientation

To attend an orientation, you must provide:

  1. Fill out the Participant Demographic Information Form (En español) and then email the completed form to clerical.info@sonomacounty.gov. If using a mobile device, emailing a screen shot of the completed form is acceptable.
  2. Email the necessary court referral or Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV K-4 form-driving record) paperwork to clerical.info@sonomacounty.gov

If your DUI court of record is outside of Sonoma County, you will be required to provide the K-4 form from DMV, or the court paperwork from the court of record.

You will not be able to attend orientation without this required paperwork.

If you have never been issued a state Driver's License you will be required to obtain an "X" number from the DMV. Please visit your local DMV for this information. You can download the request for the "X" number form below.

Orientation Days and Times

Sign up sheet opens at 9 am for both days.

  • Wednesday, 3:30 pm – 5 pm, Spanish only
  • Thursday, 3:30 pm – 5 pm, English only

Please note, you only need to attend orientation one time. If an in-person intake appointment is not completed within six months of attending orientation you will be required to provide updated documentation and repeat orientation.

Step 2: Complete an Intake Appointment

Program intakes are scheduled by calling 2 business days after you attend an orientation. If you attend a Wednesday, you can call Friday or after and if you attend a Thursday orientation, please call on the following Monday or later to schedule your intake appointment.

Please note that you are not enrolled in the DUI program until you complete an in-person intake appointment. The proof of enrollment certificate will not be issued to the DMV until you complete the in-person intake appointment.
