Pre-credentialing Training Information

Following you will find information and instructions needed to register for CalMHSA CalAIM and EHR trainings. These trainings are required to complete the credentialing process for any CBO or County Staff that requires direct access to SmartCare.  While we do not require you to start these trainings prior to finalizing onboarding with your employer, we do want to make this information available so that you may start at your earliest convenience.

Registering for CalMHSA's CalAIM and EHR Training Courses

• Access the training site here: https://moodle.calmhsalearns.org/login/index.php
  If you have not previously registered for courses on this site, you will create a username and password.
• Access the Enrollment Assistance slides here: SmartCare CalMHSA Enrollment Assistance
• Refer to slides 3 and 4 to determine what trainings you are required to complete based on your role, and area of focus (MH or SUD).
• Refer to slides 5 through 8 for instructions to complete your enrollments. Both sets of trainings have several modules to complete within each set.
• Access a grid version of the EHR training requirements: SmartCare CalMHSA EHR - SmartCare - Training Requirements - By Provider Type.
• Access a grid of the CalMHSA Clinical Practice Module training requirements: SmartCare CalMHSA Clinical Practice Modules - Training Requirements - By Program Type.
• When you have completed all required trainings, please send a screenshot of your completions page showing all completed courses, to DHS-RMU-Credentialing@sonomacounty.gov .
  • You can find the completions page by clicking on your user profile, then clicking on the courses link under the “Learning” section. All courses that you have completed will be listed on one screen.

Additional Documentation Training will be required. If you are employed by a CBO, your employer will coordinate this training. If you are a Sonoma County Employee, our QA team will reach out to schedule this training once you have completed the employee onboarding process and have started the credentialing process.

SmartCare Training Environment accounts (typically used in conjunction with or after completing the trainings), will be also be issued once you have completed the onboarding process, and after we receive a Staff Number Request Form from your supervisor.
