Announcement of Sonoma PI Director Johannes Hoevertsz as 2026 President of County Engineers Association of California

Sonoma Public Infrastructure Director Elected 2026 President of Statewide Professional Association

Johannes Hoevertsz, Director of Sonoma Public Infrastructure, has been elected 2026 president of the County Engineers Association of California (CEAC), a statewide organization that shapes infrastructure policy and helps the State’s 58 counties meet evolving public needs.

The announcement was made during the 131st California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Annual Meeting in December in San Jose. CEAC and CSAC work in partnership to advance policy, legislative advocacy, and best practices that support effective public infrastructure delivery across California.

“It is a privilege to serve an organization that brings together the expertise and experiences of every California county. While each county has unique needs, we share a common purpose: improving quality of life and building resilient, healthy communities. Our greatest progress comes when we join forces and move forward with a shared vision," Director Hoevertsz shared expressing his appreciation for the statewide appointment.

CEAC promotes innovation and efficiency within local government through knowledge-sharing, professional development, and the exchange of engineering and administrative practices. The association plays a key role in shaping statewide infrastructure policy and ensuring counties have the tools needed to meet evolving public needs.
