In 2025, the Sonoma County Department of Health Services hosted a series of virtual and in-person Senate Bill (SB) 43 informational meetings to discuss the changes in law, anticipated impacts, and resources. Meetings were held with a cross section of family members, community providers, public health officials, public safety officials, private hospitals, members of the public and more. In addition, the Sonoma County Department of Health Service partnered with the Patients’ Rights Advocates of Alameda County to develop a virtual training for the public, community members, and impacted providers. Please access the links below to view the training and to learn more about separate, ongoing training opportunities offered by the California Mental Health Services Authority.
