Now retired, Laurie enjoyed a 24-year career at Sonoma State University where she held leadership positions in scholarship administration and higher education fundraising. She was involved with multiple programs at SSU focused on student advocacy and educational accessibility and affordability and forged many donor and community relationships. She also worked extensively with campus, State and Federal policy implementation, interpretation and compliance and managed multiple faculty and alumni committees..
She stays active in her community through participation in the annual Fisherman’s Festival community fundraising event each year in April as well as serving on the Bodega Bay Water District Board.
In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out in Bodega Bay with her husband and three dogs.
Laurie is a graduate of Sonoma State University where she earned her BA and MA and attended the Executive Leadership Academy at UC Berkeley.
