What Does the Junior Commission Do?

2026 Career Panel

The Junior Commission hosted a Career Panel on March 14, 2026, featuring Blanca Molina, Marie McCain, Katia Reyes, Jennifer Sawhney, Pat Sabo, Lori Ann Farrell, and Carolyn Vandyk. These accomplished Sonoma County women represent a wide range of fields, including the arts, journalism, business, public service, and law. Their expertise spans graphic design and muralism, news reporting and editing, entrepreneurship, education and political leadership, city government management, and family law. Together, they inspire community development, storytelling, leadership, and advocacy throughout the region.

2025 Career Panel

The Junior Commissioner Project hosted their 2025 career panel on March 9, 2025. They had four speakers: lauren Ornales, Gina Fortino Dickson, Letitia Hanke, and Supervisor Rebecca Hermosillo.  The speakers inspired the Junior Commissioners to take chances on their career paths. To not be afraid of saying yes and to not go against their values in the process.
