Human Trafficking Awareness and Violence Against Women
On August 13, 2026, the Commission on the Status of Women hosted the Violence Against Women and Girls: Human Trafficking Forum with both in-person and Zoom participation. The forum brought together community members and local experts to discuss human trafficking, survivor support, prevention, and community safety. Featured speakers from Verity, Redemption House, Sonoma County Human Services, the Human Trafficking Taskforce, and the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office shared their expertise and resources. The event encouraged greater awareness, collaboration, and action to address human trafficking and violence against women and girls in Sonoma County.
