Q: Who Can Join SoCo CERT ?
A: Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to join. No prior experience required.
Q: How long is the CERT basic training?
A: Basic training typically consists of about 24 hours over multiple sessions.
Q: Is there a cost to join or train?
A: CERT training is provided free of charge.
Q: Do I need special equipment or supplies?
A: No. We provide every participant with a CERT starter kit containing basic tools and supplies.
Q: Can I participate if I have a disability?
A: Absolutely. We strive to accommodate all participants and tailor training as needed.
Q: What activities count toward the 12 hours required to maintain Active SoCo CERT Member status?
A: Team Meetings, Advanced Trainings, Approved Online Courses, and SoCo CERT Approved Volunteer activities.
Q: Who can attend Advanced Trainings?
A: Any SoCo CERT members and other CERT members that can demonstrative active status.
