Description:

The County of Sonoma Department of Health Services (Department) is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Suicide Prevention Training Plan and Program.

Overview:

The selected proposer will be responsible for developing a comprehensive, 5-year Suicide Prevention training plan that aligns with the Sonoma County Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan FY 2024–2029 (Attachment C) and the Preliminary Training Outline (Attachment D). The training plan will identify strategies, timelines, and coordination efforts for delivering community-wide suicide prevention trainings through a comprehensive five-year strategy. This includes collaboration with existing local trainers and organizations that provide evidence based or best practice trainings. The final plan will be subject to review and approval by the Life Worth Living Alliance.

Pre-Bid Conference:

An optional virtual pre-bid conference webinar will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM to answer questions regarding the RFP specifications and process.

Proposers are required to submit any and all questions in writing per the schedule in order for staff to prepare written responses. Written responses will be shared with all potential proposers through an addendum on the County’s Supplier Portal. Questions should be sent via e-mail directly to:

Living Wage:

The living wage rate required under the County’s Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased from $18.10 to $23.15 per hour effective July 1, 2025. The adjustment was adopted by the County’s Board of Supervisors on January 14, 2025, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.
