Sonoma County advances equitable electric vehicle charging plan
The County of Sonoma is seeking community feedback on the Sonoma County EV Master Plan survey, an interactive map that shows existing and potential electric vehicle charging locations. Residents, including both current EV drivers and those who do not yet own an EV, are invited to share input based on their own travel patterns, access to charging, and anticipated EV use to help shape where future charging stations may be most needed. The survey will remain open for feedback through the end of January 2026 and will inform the County’s Equitable Electric Vehicle Charging Plan. Read full story

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission has prepared a draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for projects funded and completed during the FY 24-25 reporting period. Early in-person voting for the Nov. 4 Statewide Special Election expands this weekend in Sonoma County, Registrar of Voters Evelyn Mendez reminded voters today. There will be 14 Vote Centers open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Election Day when hours will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Read full story

Dr. Michael Stacey named Sonoma County interim health officer
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today appointed Dr. Michael Stacey as Sonoma County’s interim health officer, replacing Dr. Karen Smith, who has held this role since last October. His appointment becomes effective Nov. 1 and will extend through Oct. 31, 2026 unless the County successfully recruits a permanent health officer prior to that date. Read full story
Charles M. Schulz — Sonoma County Airport announces non-stop service to Ontario on Alaska Airlines
Sonoma County Airport today announced that Alaska Airlines will add Ontario, CA, as a non-stop destination from STS. The popular route will operate daily, with the first flight scheduled for March 18. Alaska Airlines will service Ontario with daily round-trip flights, utilizing their 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft.
