Main Street Bridge Dutch Bill Creek Storm Damage - 3/29
Published: March 29, 2023
The hits from these ongoing winter storms keep coming at our roads and bridges. Our SoCoPi (Public Infrastructure) road maintenance team found structural damage to the Main Street bridge over Dutch Bill Creek in Monte Rio near Villa Grande. We believe that a large tree hit the piles and caused the structural damage.
Our engineering team has been on site to evaluate the damage. Out of an abundance of caution SoCoPi is closing the east bound lane and a detour will be put into place.
Lane closure information will be posted on the road closures webpage here and the detour will be marked with signage on site.
Engineering teams from Sweetwater Springs are also on site to assess their pipeline. Further updates pending.
This situation is evolving as SoCoPi engineers assess and address the damage. We will continue to share information as it becomes available.
*******
