District 1 - Rebecca Hermosillo

Peterson E. Pierre DNP, MSN, RN,
President, Lambda Gamma Chapter
Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing

Peterson joined the board in 2019 and currently serves as President of the Lambda Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), where he earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. He also holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from Sonoma State University.

Peterson has over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care settings. His advanced practice training is in Nurse Anesthesia, and he currently serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Nursing. He continues to practice in the acute care setting in Sonoma County.

Throughout his career, Peterson has been a strong advocate for mental health equity in clinical environments. He has observed significant delays in the transfer of psychiatric patients to inpatient behavioral health facilities and hopes to see systemic improvements in how behavioral health care is prioritized.

In addition to his work with Sigma, Peterson has served on multiple committees and held leadership roles in professional organizations at both the regional and national levels.

District 2 - David Rabbitt

Brad Katuna

Brad is a recently retired public school teacher, having taught math and science for 30 years. He has witnessed the increasing need for mental health support for adolescents in Marin and Sonoma counties. He joined the board just last year in order to utilize this extensive front-line experience and team with other concerned citizens to improve the mental health of our community.

Weekends are mostly spent with his wife, beagle, and playing bass in a rock and roll dance band.

Don O'brien

I am a father of six and a Sonoma County resident since 1976. I have a BA in English literature from SF State University and a Masters in humanities from Dominican University. I have served the boards of the Petaluma Boys and Girls Club, the Petaluma People Services Center, and the Cinnabar Theater. Most recently, I served for a short time on the board of Sonoma Applied Village Services where I remain as a volunteer. I believe in freedom and justice for all.

Angelina Grab

Angelina Grab joined the Board in Spring 2025. Originally from San Francisco, then Oakland, she, her family, and her community activism moved to Sonoma County in 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science | Activism and Social Change (2005, NCOC), a Master of Science in Organization Development (2007, USF), and is a current Doctor of Education student in the University of San Francisco’s Organization and Leadership | Social Justice program, where she is studying public service through a critical organizational theory lens, incorporating the sociology of law. Her academic work focuses on influencing the direction of organization theory and the place of public service in fostering engagement, activism, and equitable representation of minoritized and marginalized communities. Her familiarity with the behavioral healthcare system goes beyond her previous role as Human Resources Director of a locked, residential Bay Area psychiatric facility. She has first-hand experience as a caregiver for individuals living with complex post-traumatic stress disorder and comorbidities. It is because of these experiences that she is committed to advocating for behavioral healthcare workers and to bolstering awareness of the impacts a career of caregiving and service has on behavioral healthcare workers’ lives and the lives of their family members. In her spare time, Angelina works for Sonoma County’s Human Resources Department and is a weekly volunteer at Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue, where she cares for our non-human community members. 

District 3 - Chris Coursey

N’game Gray

N’gamé Gray of Santa Rosa, California is a native of Sonoma County. She is a community leader, creative writer, and Mental Health & Wellness advocate dedicated to youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and social equity with a heart for Social Justice for all.

Her work bridges generations through creativity such as spoken word, education, and collaborative leadership, always centering art, youth, and collective healing for the youth she serves. Rooted in the legacy of her grandparents, Alice and Gilbert Gray—who embodied their beliefs, N’gamé carries forward their values of strength, family, and community. Echoed in her voice and vision, she honors the past while building innovative pathways for the future for all and firmly believes in Mental Health Matters.

District 4 - James Gore

Alexandra Jacobs

Alexandra joined the board in 2024. She received Master’s degrees in Social Welfare and Public Health from UC Berkeley and has worked as a bilingual (Spanish) social worker, researcher/grant writer, and non-profit administrator since 1990 in Alameda, Contra Costa, Lake, and Sonoma Counties. Before retiring, Alexandra most recently worked for 12 years at TLC Child and Family Services in Sebastopol in the foster care and adoption program. She has also worked at Burbank Housing, the WIC program, community health clinics, and county public health departments. As a family member of and friend to individuals with mental health challenges, Alexandra has lately become personally familiar with mental health services, substance abuse treatment, dual diagnosis, and the jail and court system. To help overcome the sense of hopelessness and overwhelm that come with having a loved one in this system, she has been seeking support, educating herself about the issues and services, and learning about programs that have been bringing hope to other communities. Alexandra is passionate about finding better ways to serve the behavioral health and recovery needs in our county and including the Spanish speaking community. She is a current board member and volunteer with PALS – Paws As Loving Support Assistance Dogs – and works with her dogs to support and provide comfort throughout our community. Most days Alexandra and her dogs take long walks on their favorite creek and Regional Park trails. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking, various creative activities, and traveling.

Lindsy Morrison

Lindsy joined the Board in 2026.  She is a healthcare executive specializing in behavioral health operations, with extensive experience leading psychiatric teams and driving organizational performance.  Lindsy is passionate about advancing access to behavioral health services and strengthening systems of care across the continuum.  She brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to leadership and is committed to building partnerships that improve community health.  As a member of the Sonoma County Behavioral Health Board, Lindsy contributes her expertise to support policy development, expand access to care, and promote high quality, patient-centered behavioral Health Services.

District 5 - Lynda Hopkins

Jason Reid

My name is Jason Reid, I am a 45-year old resident of Santa Rosa. I am currently employed at the Santa Rosa Junior College as a certified Peer Educator and Success Coach as well as a full-time student working towards degrees in Social Work and Human Services: Addiction Studies and Social and Behavioral Science. I am the President of the Students for Recovery club on campus that holds weekly all-recovery meetings, and participates in on and off-campus tabling events in the recovery and harm reduction sector. I also hold a leadership role in The Second Chance/Rising Scholars Program for justice impacted students. I am highly engaged and active in the community and volunteer as Co-Facilitator for a men’s workshop hosted by Equi-Sense and sponsored by the Zane Templin Foundation. Additionally I serve the Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend annual rite of passage adventure camp in a mentorship capacity. I am passionate about wielding my lived experience, energy and fortitude to give back to my community and look forward to representing the 5th district on this board.
