Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport celebrates new nonstop Alaska Airlines service to Ontario
SANTA ROSA, CA | March 18, 2026
Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport today celebrated the launch of Alaska Airlines’ new daily nonstop service between Santa Rosa and Ontario, expanding travel options between Sonoma County and Southern California.
The new route, which debuted today, operates daily round-trip flights aboard Alaska Airlines’ 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft. The service provides a convenient connection between Sonoma County and the Inland Empire region, creating another way to travel to and from the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.
“It’s great to welcome the return of service to Ontario,” said Airport Manager Jon Stout. “This route is a strong example of our continued partnership with Alaska Airlines and our shared commitment to providing Sonoma County residents with convenient, high-quality air service to key destinations.”
The route becomes the sixth nonstop connection between Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS) and Southern California. By next fall, STS will offer local travelers nonstop service to 13 destinations in the western United States on Alaska, American and Southwest airlines:
- Los Angeles
- Burbank
- Santa Ana/Orange County
- Ontario
- San Diego
- Palm Springs (seasonal from October to May)
- Portland, Oregon
- Seattle
- Las Vegas
- Phoenix Sky Harbor
- Dallas
- Denver (starting April 11)
- Austin, Texas (starting Oct. 3)
