DxE Co-founder Ordered to Pay $191,704 In Restitution as a Result of Felony Conviction for Conspiracy to Commit Trespass and Trespassing at Sonoma County Farms

Wayne Hsiung, a 42-year-old California state bar licensed attorney from San Francisco, was ordered on November 21st of this year by the Honorable Judge Laura Passaglia to pay Sonoma County’s Sunrise Farms $87,195, and Weber Family Farms $104,509 in restitution after having been convicted by a Sonoma County jury of felony charges of conspiracy to trespass and trespass in 2023.  Read full story

Our county’s law enforcement agencies (LEA) publicly declare commitments to professionalism, fairness, compassion, integrity, and respect. These are values we strongly support. Commission on Human Rights Statement on Food Insecurity In Sonoma County

The Board of Supervisors is currently considering executing a funding agreement with the Redwood Empire Food Bank in an amount up to $200,000 for the month of November, in response to the federal government shutting down CalFresh (SNAP) benefits as of November 1, 2025. However, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) feels this is underserving the 43,000 residents affected, when comparing Napa County’s approval of $1 million in funds to serve their 10,700 affected residents for November and December 2025. Office of Traffic Safety Awards $768,000 Grant to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office for Specialized DUI Prosecution Team

Sonoma County, Calif. – Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office announced today that it has received a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to support a specialized prosecution team that handles alcohol- and drug-impaired driving cases. Deadline for voters to cure ballot signature issues is December 1 at 5 p.m.

Signature “cure” forms that were sent to voters whose ballot envelope signatures were either missing or mismatched for the November 4 Statewide Special Election must be completed and received at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office no later than Monday, December 1, at 5 p.m., according to Evelyn Mendez, Sonoma County Registrar of Voters. The Sonoma County Probation Department announced today that it has received a $261,500 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety for an intensive probation supervision program for high-risk individuals with multiple DUI convictions. Pest Companies Settle Environmental Protection Case for Pesticide, Hazardous Waste, and Customer Privacy Law Violations for $3,150,000

Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez, along with the District Attorneys of San Mateo, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Joaquin, Solano, Yolo, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and Ventura Counties, announced today the settlement of an environmental protection lawsuit against Clark Pest Control of Stockton (Clark), Orkin Services of California (Orkin), and Crane Pest Control (Crane) to resolve allegations that the companies violated state laws governing pesticide, hazardous waste, and customer records privacy laws, by unlawfully disposing of pesticides and hazardous wastes into company waste bins destined for municipal landfills not authorized to accept these wastes. The lawsuit also resolves allegations that the companies failed to shred customer records containing confidential information before disposing of those items into the trash. Clark, Orkin, and Crane are residential and commercial pest control service companies owned by Georgia-based Rollins, Inc., with over 70 facilities in California. Read full story
