Serial Killer Suzan Carson Denied Parole

Inmate Suzan Carson, 83 years old, will remain incarcerated at this time following her second parole eligibility hearing. Carson, along with her husband Michael Carson, was convicted in the early 1980s of committing three separate murders in the counties of Sonoma, San Francisco, and Humboldt. Read full story

Rapist denied parole

Inmate Felimon Torres, 61 years old, and previously residing in Valley Ford, will remain incarcerated at this time following his initial parole eligibility hearing. Torres is currently serving a life sentence for forcible rape he committed in 1996 during the commission of a residential burglary. Read full story

Sonoma County advances equitable electric vehicle charging plan

The County of Sonoma is seeking community feedback on the Sonoma County EV Master Plan survey, an interactive map that shows existing and potential electric vehicle charging locations. Residents, including both current EV drivers and those who do not yet own an EV, are invited to share input based on their own travel patterns, access to charging, and anticipated EV use to help shape where future charging stations may be most needed. The survey will remain open for feedback through the end of January 2026 and will inform the County’s Equitable Electric Vehicle Charging Plan. Read full story

DxE Activist Zoe Rosenberg Convicted by Jury of Felony Conspiracy and Aggravating Sentencing Factor After Month and Half Long Trial

Zoe Rosenberg, 23-years-old of Berkeley, was convicted earlier today by a Sonoma County jury following an approximately 7-week-long trial of a felony charge of Conspiracy, and 2 misdemeanor counts of trespass which occurred on 5/21/23 and 6/13/23, and 1 count of tampering with a vehicle for her actions on 6/13/23.
